by admin477351

Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman said the issue of southern Yemen has entered a genuine political process through the Riyadh Conference, which is sponsored by Saudi Arabia and supported by the international community.

In a statement shared on social media, Prince Khalid said the conference aims to bring together southern Yemeni leaders and figures to develop a comprehensive vision for fair solutions that reflect the will and aspirations of the people in southern Yemen.

He said Saudi Arabia will establish a preparatory committee, in coordination with southern Yemeni representatives, to organize the conference. Participants will include representatives from all southern governorates, with no exclusion or discrimination.

Prince Khalid added that the Kingdom will support the outcomes of the Riyadh Conference and ensure they are presented within the framework of broader political negotiations aimed at resolving the Yemeni crisis.

He also described the decision by southern leaders to dissolve the Southern Transitional Council as a courageous step, saying it reflects responsibility toward the future of the southern cause and encourages wider participation by southerners in the Riyadh Conference.
