Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, said the Kingdom’s decision to join the newly formed Board of Peace reflects its commitment to ending the conflict in Gaza and supporting long-term stability in the region.
Prince Faisal signed the founding charter of the initiative during a ceremony held on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos. Saudi Arabia is among eight Arab and Islamic countries participating in the board, which aims to support stabilization, governance and reconstruction efforts in Gaza.
According to the Saudi Foreign Ministry, the move underscores the Kingdom’s support for international efforts to end the conflict, assist in Gaza’s reconstruction, and advance a sustainable peace process. The ministry added that Saudi Arabia backs initiatives that promote security, humanitarian relief and political stability for the Palestinian people.
The Kingdom reiterated its support for coordinated international action to bring lasting peace to Gaza and reduce further humanitarian suffering.
