The next Benoit Blanc mystery is a puzzle of faith and foul play. The first trailer for Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery plunges Daniel Craig’s detective into the world of ecclesiastical intrigue, where a murder in a church raises questions of sin, secrets, and salvation.
The central crime is the shocking murder of a priest (Josh Brolin) in the middle of Mass, an act that blurs the line between the sacred and the profane. Blanc calls the case “impossible,” suggesting that the killer may be hidden behind a cloak of piety, making the investigation a test of both intellect and intuition.
The film features an outstanding cast of acclaimed actors, including Glenn Close, Kerry Washington, and Mila Kunis, who will portray the secretive congregation. In addition to the new story, the film presents a new style for its hero detective, as Blanc is seen with longer hair and a sharp three-piece suit.
Following its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, the film is now set for its global launch. Wake Up Dead Man will be available in select cinemas on November 26th and will begin streaming on Netflix on December 12th.
