The meetings, held in Seoul, saw Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Al-Swaha, along with Haytham Al-Ohali, Governor of the Communications, Space and Technology Commission, engage with top South Korean officials to discuss potential partnerships in AI, semiconductors, and digital infrastructure development. These talks are integral to Saudi Arabia’s broader vision of enhancing innovation, bolstering its digital economy, and positioning itself as a leading player in the global AI arena.

During the discussions, both nations explored ways to enhance digital government services. This included potential collaborations on unified government platforms and digital identity systems, as well as leveraging AI to improve public service delivery. Further strengthening these ties, Minister Al-Swaha engaged with the founder and CEO of APL Ventures to explore investment opportunities. The dialogue aimed at identifying ways to support Saudi startups and expand their footprint in international markets, while also stimulating technology investments within Saudi Arabia. This is reflective of the Kingdom’s strategy to build a robust ecosystem that attracts high-value investments and fosters an AI-driven digital economy.
