The Saudi Arabian Cabinet has strongly denounced the recent attacks by Houthi forces on civilian and economic sites in the cities of Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, and Najran. These acts have been labeled as aggressive by the Saudi ministers, who emphasized the kingdom’s right to protect its sovereignty and ensure the safety of its citizens and residents. Additionally, the Cabinet expressed its disapproval of Houthi assaults on commercial vessels and the disruption of international maritime navigation in the Red Sea.

Reports indicate that over 70 individuals, including women and children, sustained injuries during the attacks in various Saudi locations. In response, Saudi authorities have been instructed to deliver the highest standard of medical care to those affected. The Cabinet’s agenda also included discussions on the evolving situation in the Palestinian territories, focusing on Arab initiatives to curb Israeli activities in Jerusalem and the expansion of settlements.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman led the Cabinet meeting held in Jeddah, where he updated the ministers about his recent dialogues with leaders from Egypt, Greece, and Oman. These discussions aim to address regional stability and collaborative efforts to tackle pressing issues.

Furthermore, the meeting highlighted the welcome development of a strategic dialogue agreement between the Saudi and German foreign ministries. This initiative is designed to enhance consultation and coordination between the two countries, underscoring a mutual commitment to bolstering diplomatic relations.
