In a move to bolster their bilateral ties, Oman and Saudi Arabia have pledged to enhance cooperation during a series of high-level discussions. The Omani Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, and his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, met to assess the progress made in the relationship between their nations. The ministers focused on exploring further collaboration in key sectors such as the economy, investment, logistics, and trade, while also addressing regional and political issues of mutual concern.

The talks included an expanded session with senior officials from both countries, during which they reviewed initiatives under the Joint Omani-Saudi Coordination Council. A significant part of the discussions centered on aligning the strategic goals of Oman Vision 2040 with Saudi Vision 2030, aiming to foster greater private sector involvement and enhance economic integration between the two nations.

Additionally, the officials exchanged perspectives on the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, underscoring the waterway’s critical role in global trade and energy security. Both sides highlighted the importance of reducing regional tensions, preventing further escalation, and supporting diplomatic solutions to ensure safe and unrestricted maritime navigation.
