The Riyadh Metro has welcomed its 100 millionth passenger in less than nine months since launching last December, marking a major milestone for the city’s public transport network.

Since its opening, the Blue Line on Olaya Road has recorded around 46.5 million users, followed by the Red Line on King Abdullah Road with 17 million passengers, and the Orange Line on Madinah Road with 12 million. The remaining three lines together saw 24.5 million passengers, with an operating regularity rate exceeding 99.7 percent.

Key stations including Qasr Al-Hukm, the Financial Center, STC Main, and the National Museum accounted for over 29 percent of ridership, serving as major interchange points between multiple lines.

The metro system, supported by a wide bus network and public transport stops, has been designed to ensure seamless travel for residents and visitors, reinforcing Riyadh’s shift towards modern, efficient, and sustainable urban mobility.
